Cng, Lpg, Bi Fuel and Hybrid Cars are the wave of the future.   Stop being a slave to foreign oil and tap into the renewable resource of natural gas.   Did you know that once a natural gas reserve is depleted that it will refill within ten years?  Did you know that natural gas is coming out of of the ground all around the nation and is not being harnessed?  Natural gas really is the answer to stopping the enslavement of our country to foreign oil.  In our site you will learn a comparison to cars that are dual or bi-fuel and gasoline, these figures will help you understand the benifits of these vehicles from Austrailia to the USA

CNG cars have been in use for the last 20 years by the government and other agencies.  Until recently the technology has not been common public knowledge, but with rising gasoline prices more people are starting to take advantage of this technology.  CNG is one resource that is an alternative fuel but there are others.  LPG is another resource that we use every day.  We use propane in our outdoor grills and forklifts etc.  These technologies are quite simple to understand, they replace regular gasoline.

Many people think that by owning a cng car or an lpg car that the engine parts are totally different and that they are very difficult to repair and maintain.  This is not true. The components of the car stay exactly the same and if fact a cng conversion kit can be installed on brand new cars to make it compatible with cng or lpg.  There is hardware added that makes your engine work with these types of fuels so everything else in the engine stays the same.  A CNG conversion kit is considered an aftermarket product.  The reason is that its just like putting new rims on a vehicle.  It deosn’t change the workings of the vehicle, it just adds something to it.  The same analogy works for cng conversion kits.

Did you know that cng cars run 90% cleaner than normal vehicles that run on regular gasoline?  CNG cars on average at least double the normal engine life of a regular car because of how clean natural gas burns.  If you owned a dedicated cng car you would only have to change your oil once a year because of the cleanliness of cng.  There have been many documented accounts of cng vehicles going over 1 million miles before they bite the dust!

Alot of people also wonder about where they can fill up a CNG car.  Many states have fill stations and many more are building them.  There are kits available that allow you to fill up your CNG car with the natural gas in your home.  The nice thing about CNG cars is that many of them are bi fuel cars.  Bi fuel simply means that they can run on two different types of fuel.  This is very convenient because if there is not a CNG fill station near all you have to do is fill up your bi fuel car at a regular gas station which allows you to still be able to drive your vehicle.  Most bi fuel vehicles allow you to switch the fuel by the flip of the switch and it switches the gasoline  so efficiently that you can even be driving when you do this and you won’t even feel it switch over.

As you can see the world of CNG, LPG, Bi fuel and hybrid cars is the wave of the future.  Please take a look at the other pages on our website to educate yourself on the savings, safety, and the pride that can be achieved by owning a CNG car or adding on a CNG conversion kit.

The Safety Of CNG

Please watch the video below to learn about the safety of CNG Tanks that are installed in CNG bi-fuel vehicles.

Many people are interested in the way CNG cars work and how good they are for the environment. The biggest worry on people’s mind seems to be the safety aspects of a CNG car. We wanted to dispel all the myths and set the record straight.

CNG tanks are primarily made of an aluminum composite material which is extremely durable and much stronger than the metal used in today’s regular gas tanks. These Aluminum composite tanks can withstand dynamite, gun fire, and 70 mph collisions.

Another safety feature of CNG cars is that if the integrity of the CNG tank is compromised at all there is a safety release valve which safely expends the natural gas within the tank.

Natural gas requires a lot more heat to be ignited unlike regular gas. Even if the car is on fire and the safety valve is releasing gas, it will not ignite unless the heat is above 1100 Degrees.

Filling a natural gas tank is not scary and is extremely safe. Compression is around 4000 lbs per square inch when filling, but the tanks are rated to hold much more than that, so the worry of explosion is absurd. If a small spark happened or a cigarette was lighted it would not compromise the ignition of natural gas as alot more heat is required to light natural gas.

As you can see, CNG cars are very safe and reliable. Don’t let safety be a concern if you are considering buying one of these types of vehicles.

Savings of Owning a CNG Car

By owning a CNG car you will save money, time, and the environment.

CNG cars saves you money by:

Saving you $2.84 a gallon on fuel by paying only $.85 cents a gallon instead of $3.69 a gallon.

Saving you $3,000 to $5,000 a year in fuel costs.

Saving you $25,000 to $50,000 in fuel costs over the life of you car.

Saving you hundreds of dollars in oil changes.

Giving your engine twice the life.

Giving you the equivalent to 120 mpg.

CNG cars saves you time by:

Allowing you to drive alone in the carpool lane which will save you several hours of commute time.

Allowing you to park for free in public parking areas

Allowing you to fill up your car at home eliminating gas stations all together.

CNG cars help to save the environment by:

Omitting 90% less carbon monoxide

Omitting 60% less nitrous oxide

Omitting 40% less carbon dioxide

Producing only 5% of the emissions allowable by today’s standards

Being the most environment friendly car on the market

Every year you will save thousands of dollars with your CNG car. In your first year, if you drive a car that gets 14 mpg on average and you drive 20,000 miles per year, you will save $4,000. Because owning a CNG car will contribute to a cleaner environment it may be possible for you to receive a $2,500 tax credit from the state of Utah.

There are many different factors that must be evaluated to buy a car.  Yes a CNG car may be more money initially however in the long term they are considered cheap cars to own.  Vehicles that operate on CNG are considered cheap cars because the engines have been shown to operate for over 1,000,000 miles.
